GP Website has won the User Experience UK Best Public Sector Award. The Awards recognise excellence in user-focused digital or service design. They are a celebration of great and innovative UX offerings from organisations that take pride in offering the best possible online or joined-up experience.
The judges awarded NHS Camden CCG the award because GP Website presents information clearly, in an easy-to-access way, and functions well with good user experience within the public/government sector.
Dr Poppy Freeman, CCG GP Website & Education Lead
Poppy is a Camden GP who created the GP Website in 2010 and now oversees its operation and development. Her goal is to support GPs in 10 minute consultations.
She has led the development of the GP Website into a 'software as a service'. This enables the team to set up locally tailored versions of the GP Website in other areas at low cost. Her ambition is to protect and improve the quality of the Camden GP Website whilst sharing the clinical tool we have built in Camden with the wider NHS.
Sonali Roy, GP Website & Education Manager
Sonali has worked at Camden CCG for five years and manages the Camden GP Website and the GP Education Event Programme at the Royal College of GPs. Sonali now has a deep knowledge of how website development can support practices. Based on her previous experience as a Practice Manager, Sonali has led the redevelopment of the practice management and education sections of the GP Website, it is her mission to improve information access for all practice staff.
