General Practice Nurse Cancer Community of Practice

  • Are you passionate about supporting people with or after cancer to live better in the community?
  • Have you got ideas about how general practice nurses could lead on cancer as a long-term condition?
  • Would you like to join with likeminded nurses to share learning and discuss barriers to change?

The community of practice was launched in 2019 as part of the Macmillan Primary Care Nursing project in SW London . It’s open to all primary care nurses across London with an interest in cancer and especially those who have completed the Macmillan Practice Nurse Course or Explore programme

Sessions are delivered via MS Teams on Thursdays at 12.45-2pm (see event flyer)

Forthcoming dates:  19 November 2020, 10 December 2020, 14 January 2021, 11 February 2021, 18 March 2021

National GPN CARE Programme Update (October 2020)

Do you want your nurses to try different approaches to managing demand and develop skills to deliver your PCN direct enhanced service (DES)?

If so, the GPN CARE Programme can help them do that. This is a unique opportunity to join a national programme that is delivering great results in other regions in improving practice and delivering high quality care for patients, all at a time when Covid is making that even harder than usual.

Make sure that your nurses are at the heart of delivering your DES.

Webinars start 6 November 2020

Places are limited, closing date is 30 October 2020
