Primary Care Anticoagulation Initiation and Monitoring Service (LCS)

The purpose of this service is to:

  • improve health outcomes for patients requiring anticoagulation
  • improve compliance for patients taking a DOAC
  • increase patient knowledge of their condition
  • ensure a safe, effective and responsive drug monitoring service for NCL CCG registered patients in Haringey currently prescribed Warfarin
  • enable patients who require frequent blood monitoring to conveniently attend a closer-to-home facility for regular blood tests, reviews and therapy, as opposed to secondary care appointments.
