To support excellence in infection prevention and control behaviours, NHS England and Improvement has released a range of resources.
Although focussed on Trusts, practices may find these resources helpful and colleagues are in conversation with NHS England and Improvement to confirm if there are plans for resources specific to primary care.
Toolkit: “Every action counts”
Toolkit includes communication and operational resources to strengthen infection, prevention and control leadership and culture, staff and patient engagement, training, and operational management.
If you have concerns about infection prevention and control within your practice, there are resources available for support.
On the NCL CCG website we have links to the latest national advice and guidance.
Available here is the NCL self-assessment IPC tool which remains in step with the guidance
You can also email specific queries to firstname.lastname@example.org or Dr Amanda Morrison, Clinical Lead for Infection Prevention and Control at: email@example.com
Maintaining good infection prevention control will help everyone get through the next few months whilst the vaccination programme is rolled out across the whole population.
Please maintain vigilance and look after your teams.
