We hope you are having a good week.
You may have seen that on 28 April, the Health and Care Act 2022 completed the parliamentary process and received royal assent. This is a welcome and important step on the journey towards establishing Integrated Care Systems on a statutory footing. The move will take place on 1 July 2022, as communicated in the NHS 2022/23 priorities and operational planning guidance, enabling more collaborative ways of working across the health and care system.
Below are a couple of items from this week’s bulletin to be aware of.
Teams in NCL’s ENT Clinical Network have been working hard to reduce and equalise waits for access to planned ENT care, through additional investment in services and collaborative working. Please see the letter from the network's clinical director with a number of important updates for referrers.
A new poster aimed at pregnant women, giving information about the Covid-19 vaccine and routine vaccines in pregnancy, is available from the UK Health Security Agency. Practices are asked to download and display it. The poster includes QR codes to direct people to the latest information.
Have a good week.
