The Covid-19 oximetry at home pathway aims to provide a safety net and ongoing monitoring for patients deemed lower risk. It is also intended to ensure quick identification of deterioration amongst Covid-19 positive patients in the community.

New advice line launches

A new advice line has now been set up for oximetry at home patients in cases where clinicians require further advice from a senior clinician with experience of Covid-19.

Opening hours

  • Contact the support line on: 020 7870 1245
  • Opening times: 8am-8pm, seven days a week
  • Outside of these opening hours the usual routes of escalation for all patients apply.

Please note that if the line is busy, you will be asked to call back

Service information

The line is being hosted by UCLH and will be held by a senior clinician in acute medicine

If it is decided that a patient requires admission, you will be advised to send the patient to their local hospital

The line is for oximetry at home patients only and does not replace the usual routes of escalation for other patients

The advice line should be used only after you have referred to the relevant guidance but queries remain
