The Incontinence Nurse Specialists provide a continence service for adult Enfield residents with the aim of promoting continence and preventing incontinence. The service provides a wide range of services including:

One to one assessments, diagnosis and management:

  • Bladder scans
  • Referral to outside agencies when required
  • Patient and carer education in order to manage continence issues eg pelvic floor muscle, bladder and urethral milking training, support with toileting programmes, intermittent catheterisation,  catheter care.
  • Assessment for provision of aids/continence products where appropriate (housebound patients requiring products only should be referred to the District Nursing service)
