Camden MSK

Add to CPD

The Camden Musculoskeletal (MSK) services are an integration of a full range of MSK services available throughout Camden, including:

  • Community services (physio, CATS, podiatry and pain services).
  • Secondary care (orthopaedics and rheumatology).

The clinical model for Camden MSK is as follows:

  • Single Point of Access (SPoA) to process all referrals.
  • Specialist clinicians to triage all referrals
  • Multidisciplinary Team working
  • Named Care Co-ordinator for all case management
  • Clinically integrated MSK services

The Camden MSK Community Services waiting times for January 2020 can be found in downloads along with online resources for pain management support, home exercise and emotional well-being during the COVID-19 outbreak.

EMIS form

Referral methods: e-Referrals

With the exception of self-referrals into physiotherapy (see below) only e-Referrals are accepted. Find and complete the 'Camden MSK Referral Form (v.1.4) (28 February 2019)' from the EMIS forms page (Word version available in Downloads) and send via the e-Referral system, using the following steps:

  1. Specialty: Physiotherapy
  2. Clinic Type: Musculoskeletal
  3. Clinic name: Camden MSK
  4. Send for triage

Once referral has been received, it will be triaged and directed to the most appropriate service in Camden MSK (please see Downloads for a guide).

Urgent rheumatology referrals

For urgent rheumatology referrals, tick the ‘urgent’ box on the referral form. Complete form with as much referral information as possible. Urgent referrals are sent directly to Rheumatology on day of receipt and followed up with a confirmation of receipt by the Camden MSK admin team.

Please note that all patients referred to spinal neurosurgery will be managed by Camden MSKs Single Point of Referral for triage.

Self-referral into Physiotherapy
