CHIP: Camden Health Improvement Practice

CHIP is a GP Practice for homeless people and those with substance misuse, alcohol and mental health problems. 

It provides a mixture of drop-in and appointment sessions. To access these sessions, patients need to be registered with the practice. New patients can present at the drop-in sessions and register on the day.  

The service offers:

  • GP registration
  • vaccinations and on-site blood tests
  • sexual health screening, contraception and cervical screening
  • in-house treatment for HIV and Hep C
  • opiate substitution treatment
  • food vouchers

Eligibility criteria


  • to access the drop-in clinics patients will need to be registered with CHIP as a patient

How to refer


The practice is open for drop-ins at the following times:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 9am, Tuesday 10.30am.

Alternatively, the patient can call the practice to book an appointment or to have a telephone consultation in the afternoon.
