Referral methods: EMIS managed referral

All new referrals into the Community Ophthalmology Service (COS), run by The Omnes, must be sent via the e-Referrals System (e-RS). This is as hospitals are no longer able to accept onward referrals from the COS except via e-RS.

The COS needs to triage all referrals before accepting, and so has created the following virtual clinics that show on Sundays. Please refer patients into these virtual appointments. Following triage, Omnes will either contact the patient to book a convenient appointment or onward refer to secondary, if appropriate.

These virtual clinics will be seen as –

DBS Ophthalmology – HARINGEY CCG – HORNSEY CENTRAL NEIGHBOURHOOD HC – NX157
