Drugs and Alcohol – Young People

FWD provides one-to-one structured psychosocial intervention and group work sessions to young people affected by substance misuse or at risk of substance misuse (including impact of parental substance misuse)

  • community-based service with strong presence in youth clubs, schools and hostels
  • advice and information and harm reduction interventions
  • intensive, structured psychosocial interventions where substance misuse has become a significant concern
  • structured recovery groups
  • integrated CAMHS component and offers support for young people with co-existing problems/dual diagnosis
  • work with young adults up to 25 who do not wish to engage with adult services and supports transitions, where required 
  • support to concerned family members
  • provides tailored training for professionals

Eligibility criteria


  • young people aged under 25, living in or educated in Camden, who have concerns about their own or loved one's substance misuse
