Camden GP practices can now refer eligible patients to the TB service for an IGRA test. Until March 2020, remuneration will be available to practices to support identification of eligible patients. The TB nurse service will test and treat patients, as well as supporting practices to identify eligible patients at point of registration.

Eligibility criteria


  • age 16-35
  • registered with Camden GP practice which is signed up to the IGRA project
  • have not previously received IGRA test for LTBI or treated for TB/LTBI
  • have come from the list of countries found in appendix A
  • have spent six months or longer in a high incidence of TB country in the last five years


  • arrived in the UK before 1 July 2015

How to refer

Eligible patients can be referred to community clinics provided by the TB nurse service. They take place weekly at the following locations and are operated within the TB clinics and accept patients on a walk-in basis. No referral form or blood test request is required.

Clinic opening times:

  • North Middlesex Hospital – Monday and Friday, 9:30am-1pm
  • Royal Free Hospital – Monday and Friday, 9:30am-1pm
  • The Whittington Hospital – Monday 1:30-3:30pm and Friday 9:30am-1pm
