Kooth: Online CYP Counselling Service

NCL Wide
Add to CPD

Kooth is an online community where young people can share their experiences and get support from a professional team of qualified counsellors. It’s free, safe to use and completely anonymous, so children and young people can get help and support without sharing their personal details. The service is available for those aged between 11-18 years of age (up to 25 years in specific boroughs) across London.

As an online service, Kooth is available seven days per week, 365 days a year for 24 hours. The Kooth team will be available everyday from 12-10pm Monday to Friday, and from 6-10pm Saturday and Sunday.

GPs can refer young people to Kooth who may require additional support or while they are waiting for a referral to an alternative service. Young people can also sign up to Kooth themselves as no referral is needed.

Kooth also offers other resources that the young person can access if they are not ready to work with the counselling team. View a short video for more information.
