Scope enables disabled patients to find work through three services: Kickstart, Starting Line and Career Pathways.


One-to-one service that aims to:

  • provide help with CV and interview techniques
  • discuss reasonable adjustments and encourage individuals to speak positively about their disability
  • provide an individual with the support that they need to find and keep paid employment
  • provide ongoing support to the customer and the employer

Starting Line

Seven-week pre-employment course that helps disabled jobseekers:

  • develop employability skills
  • with CV and interview techniques
  • find volunteering, training and work experience opportunities

Career Pathways

Independent careers advice service for disabled young people aged 16-25 residing in London.

Up to three one-hour sessions with a specialist career adviser are offered to:

  • make young disabled people aware of all the career options and the employment routes open to them
  • develop their career goals and create an action plan to help them achieve them

Eligibility criteria


  • residents of Brent, Camden, Ealing, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Islington, Newham, and Waltham Forest
    • aged 16+
    • who are disabled and looking for work, volunteering or training
