Service update
Spectrum is operating a reduced service three days per week throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, continuing to support service users living in family homes. The service offered has been a mixture of community and/or building-based activities including learning to cycle on main roads safely and dog walking for local community members who may not be able to do it themselves due to vulnerabilities.
Spectrum provides daytime building and community-based activities for adults with autism and learning disabilities, and behaviour that challenges.
The service aims to support individuals to manage their own anxieties and behaviour before starting to explore specific, transferrable skills such as cooking and personal care.
The service has been carefully designed to ensure it is specific to the needs of adults with autism. There is a sensory room comprising an interactive dance floor, a soft-play room with a trampoline, and a gymnasium.
