Stop Smoking

Add to CPD

Breathe is Camden & Islington’s stop-smoking service. It delivers a tiered model to ensure smokers receive the best support to help them stop smoking.

  • Tier 1 offers self-support through online and printed media to those smokers who want to stop smoking without face-to-face support.
  • Tier 2 offers brief support through a network of specialist stop-smoking advisors, working in GP practices, pharmacies and other community groups and organisations.
  • Tier 3 offers specialist support to highly addicted smokers who have made multiple attempts to stop smoking and can benefit from an intensive face-to-face intervention and longer term behavioural support.

Additional support is available for those who are housebound, cannot make it to face-to-face sessions and/or may find it harder to quit, such as those with mental health problems.

During Covid-19, Breathe offers telephone support consultations to all clients, with provision of Nicotine Replacement Therapy by post.
