The Rapid Assessment Transient Ischaemic Attack (TIA) clinic runs daily (seven days a week). Where TIA is plausible diagnosis, patients can be referred to outpatient investigations at Basil Samuel Outpatients Department, National Hospital for Neurology.

If patient currently symptomatic:

  • Call 999. Do not give aspirin.

If patient not currently symptomatic, but high-risk TIA:

  • Call hyper-acute stroke unit (HASU) specialist registrar (SpR)
