This is a project to engage parents of babies and young children at risk of long-term obesity. It is funded until 2017 by the Department of Health’s ‘Health and Social Care Volunteering Fund’. It aims to train 186 volunteers and reach over 600 families within ethnically diverse local communities in Ealing, Hackney and Haringey.

These programmes are run by HENRY in partnership with Family Lives. These two charities will train volunteers as ‘Healthy Start Mentors’ to deliver HENRY’s evidence-based intervention Healthy Families: Right from the Start.
