Non clinical staff can become vaccinators by completing two stages. Stage 1 must be completed, and evidence provided before progressing to Stage 2. 

Stage 1 is completing several online training modules all which can be found on E-Learning For Health website and include the following:

Training topic e-LfH
Immunisation training
Covid-19 vaccinations and assessment
Basic Life support (if not completed in the last 12 months)

This will be covered in Stage 2 face-to-face as well.

Anaphylaxis ( if not completed in the last 12 months)
Statutory and mandatory training (if not up to date)


Once all the training is complete, the Elearning Covid Form must be completed and returned to kerree.ahern@nhs.net who will then arrange to progress to Stage 2.

Stage 2: Having completed all of Stage 1 training. They will need to complete a F2F one day training course at Middlesex University which includes  three two hour sessions on BLS, Infection control and intra muscular vaccinations.  

The F2f training can be booked through kerree.ahern@nhs.net after completion of the on line modules for which evidence must be supplied. Using the form above. Daily courses at Middlesex will start on 4 January, 2021. These will be running for at least the first two weeks of January.
